Homegrown

Today I chatted with someone who I grew up with. Her name is LisaRaye McCoy. When we talked about back home, I commended her efforts toward President Obama's campaign so she said I could share it with you all.

In Chicago, especially on the South Side during my youth, every one knew everyone!

There were children of legacies, people making it happen, I mean when folks shout out #SOUTHSIDE - it's for a reason. There is a lot of passion in whatever it is we set our minds to do and we support our own.

LisaRaye felt this compelling emotion about our President and his South Side roots and had  his back, literally!

So, I have BOTH of their backs... enjoy ...
