Combating criminals is no easy task.
They are smart.
Resourceful.
Persistent.
They often have severe narcissistic tendencies that have been completely undiagnosed or grossly ignored.
The good thing is that the community can be just as resourceful. Here in Pilsen, areas that often fall prey to the misguided "art" of the wayward gang-banger is being filled with the brilliance of Chicago Artists. The graffiti artist was once considered a criminal too .... ah, if only the gang-banger would realize his true potential and stop murdering folks.
