Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave ~

To all of my neighbors who stop in this House from time to time, I just want to wish us all a world anew.

Please go from town hall to village center preaching that our time has come. We can all share in a mutual respect for each other's differences. We can learn about one another without erasure.

Love all mankind. Respect every life. Hold one another's hands as we venture forth on this dawn of a new era.

I am excited to learn from you, about you without fear or conjecture.

My favorite excerpt of President Obama's Inaugural Address is "To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect. To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society’s ills on the West - know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist."

I look forward to sharing this new world with you. A world in which we are all holding the reigns!

Blessings and Warm wishes from this House ~

I loved that part of the speech too. I read today that it was the first time a POTUS has said the word "Muslim" in an Inaugural Address.

I just hope people really come together. We can't have peace or prosperity if we don't come together and indeed, we are all holding the reins!
