Yes, I know, it is not an easy fix, but we have to talk about it, often.
Guns in the hands of weak, sick, misguided, irresponsible people are changing the fabric of this country in a very negative and horrific pattern of chaos.
I have committed myself, and the blogs that I work on, to giving a voice that aims at calming violence. Even as the world seems to be embracing violence more and more, I have faith that humanity will prevail.
How many more stories do we have to hear just for the sake of zealots having their centuries old right to bear arms? Are you that insecure that you have to defend every battle with a firearm? Walking around every day, waiting for someone to kill or be killed?
The REST of the developed world has implemented 'restrictive' gun laws to protect its innocent citizens. It is time we do the same.

In apil of 2011, the Republican-controlled legislature passed a law that made Colt the official handgun of the state. Utah is the only other state that has a state handgun.
In September of 2011, the Republican Party in Scottsdale held a fund raiser. First prize was a Glock pistol, similar to the one Loughner used, and second prize was a rifle.
