BLACK HISTORY DAY 5

Many in America empathize with the struggle of inequality and racism that Blacks have faced. And while that is an awesome thing, do not forget that most Black people are not immigrants.

We were brought to the United States forcibly. We were raped. We were tortured. We were bred. We were not considered humans until 1864. We did not have rights until 1964.

When you pause to consider this, and its rippling affects, it is quite emotional, if not unbelievable.
